This is one of the paintings I made for my solo exhibition, Postprandial Somnolence. The title itself is a medical term for food comma. It’s a suitable term for situation in Indonesia’s art scene at the moment. As an artist I felt just like a printer, while art students thinking of nothing but formulas on how to make sellable arts. Things started to tasted like a dead parlour. The paintings here acts like a window of a parlour. It’s a common thing to see a painting of eight horses in parlours here, it’s a popular Chinese image representing good fortune and prosperity. *Tiga means Three
